The winery says:
The maritime climate in Marlborough moderates temperatures and provides a long, cool growing season. This unique combination of soil and climate, along with an extended growing season helps to concentrate and develop wonderful flavors in our Hooks Bay wines. Full of bright tropical and citrus notes, this wine is refreshing and inviting. Zesty and fresh, it is wonderfully balanced and lingers on the palate.
Some sky-high ratings on Vivino, too, with reviews like this:
Amazing smell, refreshing flavor.
Perfect Marlborough sauv blanc for me!
Very good Sauvignon Blanc with strong acidity but also with strong flavors. Passion fruits, lemon and other citrus fruits, apple, pineapple. Top pairing with lobster tails!
Plus a ton of great German and even Russian reviews (well over half of them were Russian!) that I didn’t bother translating.
Just an archetypal Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc – and a very high quality one – at an exceptional price for what it is.
