The Laird Family are the largest grape growers in Napa, and their Cold Creek Chardonnay from Carneros is highly coveted.
In fact, over half of their production goes to Rombauer, where it forms the backbone of that popular Chardonnay. The rest is split between Cakebread and Far Niente, with just a small amount held back for Laird’s own exceptional Chardonnay.
Paul Hobbs set the style for this: creamy-rich like Rombauer, but with wonderful balance, too. And Laird really knocked it out of the park with their 2022.
