Best vintage ever for the Swiss wine writer Adrian van Velzen, and better than Leflaive’s $400+ wines:
Distinguished, still, with depth and citrus fruit aromas; silky smooth on the palate, compact, straightforward, top fruit, very good acidity, fresher than the Pouilly-Fuissé in the glass next to it, shows more length; plays a league above its appellation.
Like the Macon-Verzé, a superb introduction to Leflaive’s inimitable quality and style at an (almost) affordable price.
