The Wine Advocate says:
The vino de paraje 2022 El Rapolao is from an old plot on a slope of red clay soils. It fermented with full clusters that were foot trodden in used 500-liter barrels with a maceration time of 35 to 40 days, and it matured in those barrels for 12 months once pressed and closed again. It has some honeyed hints, notes of beeswax and pollen intermixed with wild berry fruit and herbs. It has contained ripeness, 13% alcohol, a pH of 3.95 and 5.4 grams of acidity. It's medium-bodied, with fine tannins and a balanced mouthfeel, quite serious and harmonious. 860 bottles were filled in January 2024.
