Gary Walsh of WineFront is the only critic to review this 2023 so far – and he rates it the best vintage ever, saying:
So much juicy flavour on offer here. Apple, pear, curry spices, lemon curd, mint and roses. It’s generous and creamy, but also has requisite acid cut to freshen, some chalkiness, with a green melon finish of good length. Plenty of Chardonnay to get stuck into here.
Wonderful now, but will of course age, too. Indeed, Stephen Tanzer reported a few years ago that Bonhomme Macons from the 1960s were still spectacular!
