A lot of Champagne producers argue that their Champagnes are good with food, but here’s a sparkling wine that really is. Dry, firm, powerful for a sparkler and full of flavor.
No professional reviews but consumers on Vivino rate it highly. Here are three:
Pale pink soft tiny bubbles hints of strawberry and a hint of smokiness. Very nice paired with smoked salmon. Great value.
Dry, vivacious with rose, thyme, salmon, and strawberry flavors. Party worthy for sure. Matched perfectly with burnt sugar and rosemary pudding dessert.
Dry and flavorful. Delightful cremant from Bordeaux. I think this is my first taste of a sparkler from Bordeaux now that I think about it. Paired with a seafood dinner (scallops for me, lobster for her). Worked perfectly in this scenario.
As good as a lot of rosé Champagnes – and certainly more classically dry and serious than most. But less than half the price.
