No professional reviews on this, but this assessment from CellarTracker strikes me as both pretty accurate and unusually insightful:
Beautifully fragrant nose of the sweetest rosewater perfume, underbrush, tobacco, spice and eucalyptus. The aroma truly represents everything great in Barolo and an extraordinary bargain price. Rich, medium-full bodied and quite tannic. Moderately high acidity keeps it fresh as a daisy! This lacks the depth, density and intensity of truly great Barolo, but is a HUGE improvement over many entry level Baroli that simply taste vaguely of Langhe Nebbiolo, NOT Barolo. Rest assured, this is the real deal at a bargain price. While not meant to be aged long term, this will easily reach age 10 and perhaps older.
This one is the real article – and at an insanely low price for what it is.
