A blend of Soberanes Vineyard (fifty percent) and Garys’ Vineyard (fifty percent), fermented with one hundred percent whole clusters, aged for fourteen months in twenty percent new French oak, and bottled without fining or filtration, the Villain Syrah expresses the perfect balance between savory and seductive. 120 cases produced.
An inky black color. Savory aromatics of white pepper, pine needles, blueberry, and bacon fat. Robust tannins buttress the dense mid-palate of boysenberry, tobacco leaf, and graphite. Complex and deep finish of crushed blackberries, venison, sage, and iodine.
