We knew, especially in this greatest of Tuscan vintages, that it would be good. But frankly, both Sallee and I were shocked by just how good it is. (In fact, we probably should sell it for more.) It’s just much darker, richer, suppler and flat-out better than we expected. And it was clearly the best wine in a tasting of wines mainly about $20 for a wedding.
Sallee says:
What a solid wine for the money. Gorgeous berry notes coming from the Cabernet Sauvignon/Sangiovese blend, this is rich in flavour and well rounded in the finish. A perfect wine for your Italian pizza or pasta.
