Wine Spectator 91:
Appealing aromas of burning vine cuttings and sweet spices give way to cherry and currant fruit in this smooth, smoke-tinged red. Long and satisfying, leaving a hint of mint on the finish. Drink now through 2025.
And the Burgundy Report:
Round and cushioned, a guarded but pretty nose. Fresh, direct, lithe, good energy – lots of mouth-watering flavour. Lovely finishing intensity, framed with a modest tannin but no grain – ooh that’s lovely – and so different to the wines of Marsannay!
A superb Fixin – as good as almost any Gevrey-Chambertin at 3 times the price.
