From the winemaker:
The grapes come from our oldest vines, those planted by our great-grandparents René and Lucie. Located in the commune of Saint-Émilion, bordering the Pomerol appellation, these plots benefit from an exceptional clay-limestone terroir in this area of the appellation.
Château Cormeil-Figeac is a very long and complex wine, elegant and smooth, intense and velvety: stewed red fruits, cherry, blueberry and blackcurrant. Its tannins are well integrated, and its oak is subtle thanks to very precise barrel aging.
Best enjoyed at least 5 years after harvest, with a aging potential of 25 years or more for great vintages.
