Marzemino at its best, like this, combines the fruity pleasure of Dolcetto with the brightness and freshness and greater complexity of Barbera. It’s what Don Giovanni drank in Mozart’s opera.
I can’t think of another Italian red at this price that’s so delicious and rewarding.
