Top cru for the Wine Spectator – 95 points:
Here's a new submission from Boroli with fruit sourced from across one hectare of vines with typical sandstone and marl soils. The 2019 Barolo del Comune di Castiglione Falletto has a clearly defined bouquet thanks to chiseled notes of crushed stone, blackcurrant and chopped mint. This wine offers more dimension and depth thanks to those pretty mineral and medicinal notes. Only 4,300 bottles will hit the market this fall.
