Dunnuck, the only critic to review this rare Pinot, rates it their best ever at 94+, saying:
An outstanding wine from Fullerton, from a site planted in 1982 and 1990 from own-rooted vines, the 2019 Pinot Noir Fir Crest Vineyard takes on a distinctive mineral-tinged aromatic profile, with notes of graphite, black raspberry, and fresh pine needles. Medium-bodied, with broader shoulders, ripe tannins, ripe, balanced fruit, and earth tones on the finish, it retains great purity of fruit through its long finish. It’s showing wonderfully now but is an age-worthy wine that will cruise through the next decade.
