Not only does the Wine Enthusiast rate this superb Cabernet Outstanding; they really do describe quite well the qualities that make this so special (and so unusual) for Lodi:
This warm, rich, velvety wine boasts deep black-plum and black-cherry flavors generously accented by oak spices ranging from cinnamon and vanilla to cedar and chocolate. Well-integrated tannins and a full body keep it smooth but weighty on the palate.
In other words, rich and velvety but also smooth, beautifully balanced and very complex. This wine has it all.
There aren’t many Lodi Cabs that could pass for one of their far more expensive neighbors from Napa, but this one could. In fact, I’d love to try it blind beside a top Napa Cabernet from one of the warmer areas, like Calistoga or St.-Helena.
This 2019 vintage also enjoys the highest average score for this Cabernet on Vivino, at 4.2/5, or higher than most $50 Napa Cabernets!
