Suckling not only rates this the top Fabre Reserva at 92 points; he rates it above every vintage of Fabre’s much more expensive Gran Reserva since 2012.
He says:
Ripe dark berries, dark chocolate, licorice and toasted oak. Medium-to full-bodied, firm and structured with ripe berries on the palate and a rich finish with some nutty notes.
Deschorchados rates this Outstanding as well, saying:
This is one of the great values for money in Argentine wine, especially with malbec from the traditional Vistalba zone grown on the alluvial soils on the banks of the Mendoza River. The ripe and generous fruits of the Vistalba malbec are clearly evident here, along with aromas of violets. The palate is broad with pleasingly round tannins. An ideal wine for grilled meats.
