Vinous actually rates this one, 100% old-vine Merlot, equal to the Guitard, saying:

Floral tones with pomegranate - so welcoming with a juicy mix of black, red and blue bramble fruit elements. Intense aromatics. Bright, juicy and alive, this has lovely energy. It’s not weighty or particularly plush or fleshy, but fine, grippy and softly chalky. Powdery tannins yet supportive at the same time - the texture of whole bunch rather than the wood, like eating grape skins. Good precision and detail to the fruit - finessed and restrained, clean and clear. A delicious wine.

As its sister cuvee, whole bunch has been introduced as well. Other than the mineral expression of the Guitard, the wine is focusing on the fruit core. The palate feel is rich and thick with great density. A fruity wine with complexity!
