Rated “Outstanding” and top Allan Scott Sauvignon ever by the Wine Enthusiast:
This is the Central Otago label from the Scott family (of Marlborough's Allan Scott wines). Made from certified sustainable vineyards and fermented with native yeast, it takes its time opening but soon reveals appealing aromas of honeysuckle, passion fruit, bell pepper and green herbal characters. There's a nice tingle of acidity on the chalky-textured palate.
The Wine Spectator rates it outstanding, too:
Delivers Key lime, passion fruit and green apple flavors that are fresh, crisp and expressive on a sleek frame. Shows lemon zest, lanolin and a touch of sea salt, which lingers on the finish.
