93 from the Wine Review Online:
Broadside’s winemaker Adam LaZarre goes to the spice box, and he only does that when the fruit will let him do so while keeping the fruit’s personality intact. The ripeness is balanced, and one taster in my group commented that they felt a distinct Amaro vibe here, with the herb and spice notes adding depth and complexity. This is a winner in my book, but it’s not for the faint of heart! Contains 7% Petit Verdot.
Also, at 92 points, the top Broadside ever for Tastings.com:
Ruby black color. Aromas and flavors of chocolate covered espresso bean, apricot marmalade, smoked nuts and bacon, and alpine herb lozenge with a supple, bright, fruity medium-to-full body and a smooth, interesting, medium-long finish with notes of vanilla almond milk, nut brittle, cranberry relish, and caramelized mushrooms with well-integrated, fine tannins. A deft and extroverted combination of spicy, herbal, fruit, and roasted flavors make this a toothsome Cabernet choice for a hearty, globetrotting tasting menu.
