This one has some huge press, both from US critics and those abroad.

Vinous 93 at $40:

The 2021 Perlato del Bosco shows how appealing this vintage can be, even among mid-tier offerings. Dark, juicy and wonderfully expressive, the Perlato has so much to offer. Dark cherry, plum, espresso, incense and licorice abound in this racy, super-expressive Maremma Sangiovese. The 2021 is impeccable and delicious.

Also 93 from Decanter:

In the mouth it combines concentration and verticality, the richness of the fruit given texture and airiness from the large oak vats it matures in. Fresh and alive, the tannins are fine and chalky and the fruit is quite compact and deep rather than light and perfumed, and so this will suit roast meats nicely.

And Suckling 93:

Orange blossom, black cherries, and hibiscus flower. Some slate and lead pencil aromas. Medium body with fresh acidity and firm and racy tannins. Polished and very pretty. Pure sangiovese. Drink or hold.

And outstanding for the Wine Advocate:

Made with 100% Sangiovese (the R-19 clone that is suited for hot vintages), the 2021 Perlato del Bosco is one of the estate's most accessible wines that is ready for near-term drinking. This marks its 30th vintage. It reveals bright cherry fruit over a mid-weight mouthfeel with balsam herb on the close. You also get earthy aromas and blue flower followed by a spicy note. There is freshness and some bitterness to the tannins. Sangiovese was planted on this estate before its current owners arrived, and the Tua Rita team added some Cabernet Sauvignon to the blend until the 2002 vintage. It's been 100% this particular clone of the grape since 2011. Large oak casks are used for aging.

Plus tons of other outstanding ratings, including 94 from Maroni.

The yields in these old Sangiovese vines are about half of what’s typical in Brunello – and it really shows in the concentration and wonderfully rich and enveloping flavor here.
