The Wine Enthusiast says:
Floral aromatics of violet and hibiscus spin into flavors of black plum and dark coffee. This wine brings palate-coating tannins into a long finish for a flavorful and crowd-pleasing wine.
Suckling also rates it outstanding (and Sheehan’s top Cabernet to date), saying:
Blackcurrants, dark cherries, walnuts, crushed herbs and spices on the nose, followed through a full body with intense, succulent dark fruit and sleek, glossy tannins. Rich and lingering finish. Drink or hold.
It also won a Gold Medal at USA Wine Ratings 2024.
(The winery of origin, by the way, sold the last vintage of this exclusively to its Club members, at $125. We’ll see what they sell this one for…)
