Only six barrels of this one are made, and it’s a bit more expensive elsewhere.
Also a bit fuller and more powerful, if not quite so dazzling as the Boudriotte.
From Vivino:
Celebrating my 38th anniversary so can’t spend my time on this. This is superb….and so young. So smooth and clean yet the flavors linger. Buying a case to enjoy over the years to come. One per anniversary!
94-95/100. gold color. vanilla, nutty, and toast were rich. peach & ripe yellow apple. stone minerality was also notable. balances on nose & palate were attractive. medium body (13%). oily texture, but with lingering acidity. dry. a classic Chassagne Montrachet.
Perfect for our meal at Omakase — great white burgundy.
