The Wine Enthusiast says:

Floral and peach aromas define the nose of this refreshing Arneis. The palate shows a balance between fleshy and ripe stone fruit and tart citrus flavors giving the wine a unique personality that keeps the palate engaged throughout the entire bottle.

Wine writer Natalie MacLean says:

This is a lesser known white from Piedmont in Italy that’s dry and delicious. The vineyard where it is sourced from is being classified as organic and uses no chemical herbicides or fertilizers. The wine is medium bodied and has aromas and flavours of hazelnut, ripe yellow apple, peach, and lemon. If you like mushroom risotto, this wine will make a charming contrasting pairing to its creaminess.

And Canadian writer Rachelle O’Connor adds:

The Arneis grape was originally grown on the hills of Roero (Northwest of Alba) on the bank of the Tanaro River in Piedmont, Italy. Traditionally Roero Arneis a straw colored white wine with a beautifully fresh and delicate with a herbaceous nose and a slight hint of almonds. This Tenuta Fratelli Povero Terre del Conte Roero Arneis shows lots of stone fruit aromas and lingering flavors of peach, apricot, apple, honey and pear. Two months on the lees added some complexity and depth while the stainless steel vinification resulted in a refreshingly crisp wine.

“Arneis,” by the way, translates to “little rascal,” and is Piedmontese for a difficult and demanding person. It’s that kind of grape. But when you get one like this, it’s clear all their efforts are worth it.
