Vinous rates this even higher than the incredible 2021 vintage, saying:

The 2022 Red Blend Jasper is a Bordeaux blend that's hand-sorted, basket-pressed and aged for 16 months in used French oak. It offers a nose of well-defined red fruit, red bricks, cracked black pepper, tobacco and loam. The palate is medium-bodied with a fresh and saline entry. Notes of black olive tapenade emanate from the Cabernet Franc and drive this along. There's real precision on the finish; this is just as good as the 2021 and may ultimately prove better.

Tim Atkin also rates this the top Red Jasper ever, saying:

Based on Cabernet Franc - what else? - this is completed by 35% Malbec, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3.5% each of Merlot and Petit Verdot, Jasper only sees older oak. Racy, refreshing and bright, with classic granitic focus and palate length and flavours of plum, capsicum and black cherry. 2025-25.

And Master of Wine Greg Sherwood:

With the 2022 Jasper, a blend of 49% Cabernet Franc, 35% Malbec, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3.5% Merlot and 3.5% Petit Verdot, we encounter an incredibly plush, luscious, approachable red blend brimming with earthy red berry fruits, aromatics of violets and sweet lavender, dried baking herbs and subtle notes of graphite and lead pencil. On the palate, the wine is medium bodied and plush, soft textured but also fleshy, creamy and deliciously accessible boasting toasty notes of black currant, damson plum and sour black cherries. A very compact and complete wine on release, consumers desiring instant enjoyment now may actually love the 2022’s creamy opulence more than the bracing acid structure of the 2021. This wine simply gets better and better every vintage. Well done Bruwer!

Not yet reviewed by the Wine Advocate, but they gave the 2021 vintage 94+, and this one may surpass it.

As always, one of the world’s great wine values – and surely THE supreme value when it comes to Cabernet Franc.
