The 2023 Rebellious Sauvignon Blanc is exactly what you (or at least we) want a California Sauvignon Blanc to be.
The Tasting Panel rates it 92 points, saying:
Hardly a wallflower, this wine bristles with tropical fruits, ruby grapefruit, and wild herbs. Shrouded throughout with an electric minerality, it exhibits ripe peach, limeade, and a soupçon of wasabi.
Also 90 points and a “Best Buy” at $20 from the Wine Enthusiast:
This wine is fresh, lively with aromas of citrus blossom, cantaloupe, dried herbs and bright acidity on the nose. The flavors on the palate are orange cream, candied lemon rind, white peach and spice, with a long, dry finish. Pair with fried clams and tartar sauce.
