From very old (up to 70 years), organic and hand harvested vines in four of the best vineyards in Sancerre: Chene Marchand, Grand Chemarin, Champ Chene and the incredibly steep La Cote de Bué. Vinified with indigenous yeast in stainless steel.
In other words, a Sancerre of both supreme quality and utterly authentic and classic style.
Indeed, what has surprised both us and customers who’ve had this most is that it somehow combines the utmost in Sancerre purity and elegance (even with that almost ethereal quality of great Sancerres) with an opulence, layered richness and sheer deliciousness that very few Sancerres – and NONE at this price – ever possess.
