Here’s the review of the Wine Review Online of this under its Fleurie Origines label:
Beaujolais has consistently been a go-to wine category for me thanks to its earthy minerality and versatile, food-friendly profile. Fleurie is often regarded as the most feminine of the Beaujolais Crus, prized for its aromatic lift and natural elegance. Grégoire Hoppenot is a wine merchant turned winery owner, focused on crafting Cru Beaujolais that clearly express their terroir. His Fleurie “Origines” is beautifully expressive, driven by wet concrete minerality with notes of black pepper, elderflower, açaí berry, and cranberry. This wine easily lands in my “win” category and is a clear example of what keeps me coming back to Cru Beaujolais — and Fleurie in particular.
If you love “real” Beaujolais at its purest – and yes, most perfect – do not miss this beauty.
It’s somehow both as truly sophisticated yet immensely pleasurable and easy to drink as only great Beaujolais can be.
