The Burgundy Report says:
Here’s a little more fruit ripeness. [Than the Petit Chablis.] Silky texture and a little more concentration. Drive and minerality – properly Chablis. Give it 12+ months in the cellar but this is very proper for the label – it will be very tasty.
And a Vin Remarquable and Coup de Couer for the Guide Hachette:
This Chablis is truly admirable. Its finesse is evident on the nose, displaying notes of peach and candied fruit—qualities that carry through to the palate. "It’s like lace," one taster remarked. Above all, it is a highly harmonious and perfectly balanced wine, whose acidity lends a delightful vivacity to its light, fruity character. A true "fisherman’s wine," it is ready to be opened today alongside freshwater fish (such as trout or pike), or cellared for two years to reveal further expressions of its character.
As “archetypal” as Chablis gets – especially today, and especially at anywhere near this price. Even more exciting (and higher rated) than the “cult” Chablis from their next-door neighbor de Moor…and at less than half the price!
